What's going on here?
I’m just sharing some short stories.
Among these are some Fifty Word stories: first I select a random phrase or short sentence from varied sources and then I use that as a stimulus for a story of exactly fifty words, which must include the original sentence.
Others are more of a free for all with no limits.

The Moment of Realisation.
The Moment of realisation.
My favourite moment of all time.
This is what I look for in life. It’s that moment when I’m watching a film and there’s a twist that I didn’t see coming but makes perfect sense to the story. That moment when a mystery is solved or a forgotten thing suddenly remembered. I love reading a Chuck Palahniuk book or watching an episode of The Twilight Zone and hitting that moment where the story twists and the secret is revealed.
It’s heart stopping, stomach sinking and brain melting. It can make me jump to my feet or sink back in the chair and think “Wow”.
It’s the moment where everything makes sense like that moment in Fight Club but it’s also the moment where everything doesn’t make sense, like the blue box in Mulholland Drive and the final shot of The Shining (which gave this site its name).
It rocks and it is what I want to create for others.
